HOW WE HELP
LIHEAP (Low-Income Energy Assistance Program)
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps low-income
households with fuel bills during the summer and winter months. Eligible households
receive a one-time benefit to help pay for their heating and cooling bills. Benefits are
paid directly to the utility or fuel company.
Please be reminded that eligibility for LIHEAP does NOT guarantee a benefit will be paid. LIHEAP funding is limited, and its availability is dependent on the number of clients that apply.

Heating Program
Runs from October 1 to March 3. Catholic Charities starts accepting applications in July.

LIHEAP is available to individuals and families, whether they own or rent. See if you

* Please be aware all applications must be completely filled, signed and dated, along with all the necessary documents needed, to determine eligibility. Submission of incomplete applications can delay processing of application.
